Hip-Hop is a mix of today’s high-energy street dancing. It is designed to teach coordination, strength, and endurance. It refers to a style of dance primarily danced to Hip-Hop music or that have evolved as part of Hip-Hop culture. This includes a wide range of styles notably breaking, locking, and popping which were developed in the 1970s by Black and Latino Americans. What separates Hip-Hop dance from other forms of dance is that it is often improvised and Hip-Hop dancers frequently engage in battles (informal freestyle dance competitions). They are offered to students 6 yrs of age and older. A great way to introduce dance to a hesitant student & Boys love this class too!.
